There are handy buttons for each that can be added via the Button Editor below the Program Monitor for easy access, or you can enable them via the top bar View Menu. We also do have Rulers and Guides as well. If you hold down Command/ Control while you're moving the shape in the Program Monitor, you will enable "snapping" which makes it a little easier to line things up as well. You can use the Text Alignment buttons below the font menu to center your text within the box, and the Align tools to center the box itself in regards to the video frame.
